About Us
510 is a fun and growing community for Jewish graduate students and young professionals in the east bay. The program creator, Nina Kaufman, worked with many interested and curious young adults (22 – 30 yrs. old) to create a program that would address the real interests of its participants. We offer a variety of programs, including social, arts and cultural, spiritual, educational, holiday, outdoorsy, social justice, Shabbat, and leadership opportunities. The organization is always open to feedback and there are many opportunities to volunteer.
We get together for breakfasts, weeknight and weekend events, and oftentimes, we will meet up and go together to larger community events, such as Shabbat services or a holiday gathering. We hold events at Berkeley Hillel, in the greater east bay and bay area at large.
Everyone is encouraged to come, whether on your own or with a friend, and it doesn’t matter if you have always been Jewishly affiliated, or never before and you are just experimenting. Come to an event. We’ll see you there.
